On August 18th, Toyota Libya welcomed eight trainees at its headquarters in the Misrata Free Zone as part of the third batch of the “Discover Your Talent” training program in bodywork and painting. They will be trained in the basics of bodywork and painting skills for eight weeks under the supervision of certified trainers from Toyota Japan, in a training center equipped according to Toyota’s specifications.
It is worth mentioning that Toyota is carrying out these activities as part of its contribution to the development of Libyan youth and their integration into the labor market. Twenty batches have graduated from this training program in general mechanics, in addition to two previous batches in bodywork and painting.
Yesterday, Tuesday, July 16, His Excellency Mr. Shimmura Izuru, Japanese Ambassador to Libya, along with his accompanying delegation, visited the headquarters of Toyota Libya in the Misrata Free Zone. He was welcomed by Mr. Mohammed Abouturkia, Operations Divison Manager, and Mr. Abdurahiem Muftah, Corporate Divison Manager, accompanied by several company managers.
During the visit, Mr. Shimmura was given a quick tour of the company’s headquarters and the training center for the “Discover Your Talent” program to learn about the company’s daily activities. Mr. Shimmura expressed his pride in the services the company provides within Libya, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation between Libya and Japan in the automotive sector. He also expressed his admiration for the “Discover Your Talent” program, sponsored by Toyota Libya, as one of its contribution to Libya society programs offering technical training to Libyan youth preparing them for the job market.
Mr. Shimmura concluded his visit by emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in strengthening relations between the two countries.
In the framework of the Fiftieth edition of the Tripoli International Fair, Toyota Libya proudly unveiled the Toyota Prado. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries from various sectors in Libya. Notable attendees included the Minister of Economy and Trade in the Government of National Unity, Mr. Mohammed Al-Hawij, and the Chairman of the Management Committee of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Engineer Essam Al-Ghoul. Additionally, ministers of Tourism, Industry, Finance, and Environment, added to the event’s significance. Representatives from different ministries, directors of agencies under the Ministry of Economy, and members of the diplomatic corps in Libya also attended, enhancing the event’s prestige.
We were honored to welcome the Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Shimura Izuro, to our booth during the event. The launch of the Toyota Prado represents a significant milestone as it is the first launching of its kind in Africa. In addition to the Prado, Toyota showcased the Rav4 Hybrid and the Urban Cruiser. Which offers complimentary one-year accident insurance, approved by the Libyan Fatwa Authority.
The Tripoli International Fair is scheduled to continue from May 15th to May 21st, operating from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Throughout this period, we remain committed to serving our customers and raising brand awareness of Toyota in Libya.
Today, Tuesday, April 30th, saw the hosting of a delegation from the Japanese government by Aqwa Almuharikat Company, the new Authorized Dealer for Toyota Libya in the Janzour area, where they were received by Mr. Mohamed Madi, the General Manager of Aqwa Almuharikat Company, and a number of department heads at Toyota Libya.
The delegation included Mr. Fukazawa Yoichi, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs & Member of the House of Representatives in Japan, accompanied by Mr. Shimmura Izuru, Ambassador of Japan to Libya.
Mr. Fukazawa expressed his pleasure at visiting Toyota Libya’s new dealer, noting that it serves as an excellent example of cooperation between Libya and Japan. He praised the positive role played by Toyota Libya in human development through its “Discover Your Talent” program, which it sponsors. He also expressed optimism about enhancing cooperation between the two countries, particularly through the activities of the Japanese Ambassador in Libya, Mr. Shimmura.
After welcoming the guests, Mr. Mohamed Hamal the Managing Director of Aqwa Almuharikat took the delegation on a quick tour inside the company’s facility, where the guests expressed their happiness at seeing the new facility, which is expected to contribute to enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries.
The opening ceremony of the Body and Paint Service Department was held at Alarbi Almumayez, one of Toyota Libya’s Authorized Dealers, yesterday. The event was attended by employees of Toyota Libya, as well as Alarbi Almumayez staff and customers. On this occasion, it was announced that the registration for free one-year accident insurance for all Toyota Urban Cruiser owners has commenced. This insurance is provided by Toyota Libya in collaboration with Al Youser for Cooperative Insurance and approved by the Libyan Fatwa House. During the ceremony, owners of Toyota Urban Cruiser vehicles were taken on a tour inside the new Body and Paint Center at Alarbi Almumayez , where some minor damages were repaired free of charge for some customers using new techniques available exclusively to Toyota Libya dealers.
With a remarkable celebration and distinguished presence, on Sunday, April 21, 2024, the new Authorized Dealer Aqwa Almuharikat in the municipality of Janzour was inaugurated, which is considered one of the new Authorized Dealers for Toyota Libya Company.
This important event was attended by a number of prominent figures, and the atmosphere of the opening was filled with joy and optimism, with the presence of His Excellency the Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Shimura Izuru, the President of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Mr. Mohammed Al-Raied, and the Mayor of Janzour, Mr. Fathi Ben Issa, in addition to several businessmen and senior employees of Toyota Libya Company.
The managing director of Aqwa Almuharikat Company, Mr. Mohammed Madi, delivered a brief welcoming speech, expressing their happiness at the opening of the new dealer, which began its preparation 19 months ago. Mr. Mohamed Abouturkia, Operation Division Manager at Toyota Libya Company, also delivered a speech expressing their joy at this achievement, wishing success for Aqwa Almuharikat Company in the future.
What distinguishes the new dealer is its outstanding location, which facilitates access for all residents of the western region and enhances economic activity in the Janzour area in particular. The building was constructed on a large area of 4000 square meters, with a covered area of 3500 square meters, including a showroom of 1400 square meters, in addition to a workshop, spare parts warehouse, and car wash area.
The new dealer includes all the necessary facilities for a Toyota dealer, and there are future plans to add a section for bodywork, painting, and structural maintenance.

With pride and honor, the ” Dream car art contest 2023-2024″ competition in Libya concluded with a remarkable final event held at the premises of Sarab Cars, one of Toyota’s authorized dealers. The event commenced with a brief tour for the guests inside the company’s headquarters under the supervision of Mr. Yazan Al-Turki, the General Manager of Sarab.
Following the tour, an enjoyable drawing competition for young children commenced. At the end of the competition, school bags were distributed to the winners as an appreciation and encouragement for their creativity. Subsequently, we proceeded with the certificate and award distribution ceremony for the winning children in the ” Dream car art contest” competition in Libya.

Congratulations to the graduates of the twentieth batch of the “Discover Your Talent” training program! The graduation ceremony was held at the Toyota Libya headquarters in the Misrata Free Zone on February 29th. These trainees, who are graduates of technical colleges and were nominated by the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education, have successfully completed the program.

Today, the training center affiliated with Toyota Libya at its headquarters in the Misrata Free Zone welcomed twelve trainees from various Libyan cities. These trainees are graduates of technical colleges and have been nominated by the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education.
Toyota Libya conducts such programs as a contribution to the Libyan community to enhance the skills of Libyan youth and prepare them for the job market. We wish success to the youth participating in this eight-week course, during which they will receive training in routine maintenance fundamentals according to Toyota’s standards. Additionally, the program covers English language, computer skills, and technical report writing.
On December 13th, the third technical national skill contest took place at the training centre located at the Toyota Libya headquarters in the free zone of Misrata. The competition featured a showdown among technicians from Toyota Libya’s affiliated dealerships, who competed in the areas of measurement devices and troubleshooting.
It’s worth noting that the dealership technicians underwent technical training at the training center affiliated with Toyota Libya, following the global standards of Toyota.
The title of the 2023 champion was awarded to contestant Sherif Al-Maghrebi from the company Mas Mubarak Al-Sousi, the authorized Toyota dealer in Benghazi and Al-Bayda.
