In 2018, with support from the European Union, UNDP Libya reached an agreement with Toyota Libya to provide young people with a three-month vocational training in car maintenance and repair including computer skills, English language and report writing.
This training program, Discover Your Talent, has been implemented by Toyota Libya since 2012 as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility component in Libya.
UNDP supported the initiative in 2018 as part of the EU-funded “Strengthening Local Capacity for Resilience and Recovery” project, which was implemented in coordination with the Ministry of Local Government and several municipalities from eastern, western and southern Libya.
In 2018, through this collaboration, 20 young people from several cities developed their abilities by training them at Toyota Libya. With the extension of this partnership, another 40 young people will acquire skills that will improve their chances of finding decent jobs to secure a decent life for themselves and their families.

On October 6, 2019, as a first batch of 20 trainees, including IDPs from all over Libya, began their training at the Toyota Libya Training Center in Misrata. The second batch, which also consists of 20 trainees, will begin in January.
